Dear Mr. Temple,
This is teacher appreciation week, and I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate all that you've done for me. Having you as a coach really made me appreciate the sport and love it. You are the most memorable teacher and coach still to this day. You were the one that made me realize my potential in not only sports, but school too. You helped me to understand that even if I'm not the best one out there, I still try to do the best that I can do, and that's all that really matters. You were the one that taught our team how to play together. That showed us how much better we can be as a team as opposed to individuals trying to show each other up. I can honestly say that there will never be a basketball season like our seventh grade year, nothing can top how fun that was. We all miss you as a coach, and I wish you were still with us in high school. Hopefully we'll see you at one of our games this season. We owe all of our success to you because of everything you taught us. Thank you for everything you've done.
Sincerely, Laykin
