Why flowers and candy?

I  like Valentines  day  because you  can  spend it with  your  special other and  you can  show  each other how much you really love each other.  But i don't like Valentines day  when  I  don't have that  special someone  to have  with you and spoil  you  with  love. Valentines  day  isn't my favorite  holiday  but it's one that i will like  in  some way  or another.
